Precision Medicine to Improve Treatment of Post-Concussion Syndrome
Post-concussion syndrome is diagnosed in approximately 1 in 3 people who sustain a concussion. Symptoms include mental, emotional, and physical problems that can last months. We are using electronic health record data on thousands of people to understand genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors that increase a person’s risk for developing post-concussion syndrome. These discoveries could lead to better treatments for people affected by post-concussion syndrome.
